Russell Investments named 3rd best company to work for in Australia
Employees give Russell Investments a vote of thanks for their commitment to people, families and a positive corporate culture.
SYDNEY, 30 April 2009 - The Great Place to Work® Institute has placed Russell Investments 3rd on its list of the “50 Best Companies to Work For” in Australia, which was published in today’s BRW. Russell was the first placed financial services organisation on the list.
This is the second year The Great Place to Work Institute has evaluated leading employers in Australia, but the first year that they have assigned a ranking to the top companies. The organisation also manages Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list in the US and other evaluations of top workplaces globally.
In last year’s study Russell Investments was named in the list of the "8 best Companies to Work For" in Australia.
Companies are selected for inclusion on the ‘Best Company’ list primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Great Place to Work Trust Index, a proprietary employee survey developed by the Institute. Further information used for selection process is provided by completion of the Great Place to Work Culture Audit, a two part management questionnaire, also developed by the Institute. The Great Place to Work Institute uses the same proprietary methodology to conduct similar studies in 30 countries in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.
Russell Investments Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Chris Corneil, said the vote of thanks from Russell employees was particularly rewarding given the difficult economic climate.
