Russell Investments names new global Chief HR Officer
August 4, 2009 - Russell Investments has named Katie Beavan as its new global chief human resources officer. In this new role, Beavan reports directly to Russell’s CEO and serves as a member of Russell’s Executive Committee and Global Leadership Forum. Based in Russell’s New York office, Beavan plans to travel extensively to the company’s headquarters in Tacoma and other key offices around the world.
“Katie will work closely with Russell leaders to implement human capital strategies designed to attract, develop and retain the very best talent in our industry,” said Andrew Doman, Russell’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “She will have full responsibility for all aspects of human resources across the firm.”
Prior to joining Russell, Beavan was a senior equity partner at management consultant, Robert H Schaffer & Associates based in Stamford, USA, and managing partner of their London office.
Beavan brings to the role more than 25 years of HR experience, both in senior HR roles at BAE Systems and Morgan Stanley, and also as a management consultant working with leading global financial firms in New York, Europe and Asia. She also offers many years of experience helping her clients leverage their talent to drive business growth. She holds academic degrees from Cambridge University.
