Despite continued market turmoil, the results of the December quarter Russell Investment Manager Outlook indicate a more bullish position of Australian investment managers compared to previous months.
- 54% managers expressed a preference for Australian equities, compared to 27% in the last quarter of 2007.
- International equities were also regarded in a more positive light, with 49% of managers expressing a bullish stance, compared to 30% of managers last year.
- This trend is reflected in a move away from Australian cash, which 52% of managers preferred last year, down to 13% of managers today.
