- Three weeks vacation for all full-time associates at the time of employment.
- Four weeks vacation after 4 years of service.
- Five weeks vacation after 14 years.
- Eight weeks of paid sabbatical leave for all full-time associates after 10 years of service.
- Family sick-leave: Associates may use their accrued sick-leave to care for sick family members.
- Educational assistance: After one year of service, associates are eligible for reimbursement of 90 percent of tuition, registration, books and other enrollment fee expenses for qualifying courses and programs, up to a maximum of $8,000 per associate on an annual basis. Russell provides financial support for associates' job-related professional certifications, including CFAs and other designations.
- A short-term disability benefit, renewable every 12 months, that covers U.S. associates for up to 45 calendar days immediately upon hire, and up to 90 days based on years of service.
- A new parent pay policy that offers U.S. associates who are primary caregivers two weeks of pay for the birth or adoption of a child. Associates who are secondary caregivers are eligible for one week of pay.
- An adoption benefit pays 80 percent of all adoption-related costs, up to $8,000 per adopted child.
- On-site fitness center (free to Tacoma-based associates): includes free one-on-one assistance from fitness trainers, free-weights, machine weights, cardio equipment, yoga and Pilates classes, and more! In addition, Russell waives the registration fee for associates and family members at Tacoma-area YMCA fitness centers.
- Fitness allowance: For U.S. associates outside of the Tacoma area, Russell provides an annual allowance of $700 to cover the cost of qualifying fitness programs or memberships.
- On-site Weight Watchers™: Russell associates may attend weekly Weight Watchers meetings, conveniently located on the Tacoma campus.
- Volunteer opportunities: You might find Russell associates contributing their time to mentor young people, collecting clothes for homeless families or providing guidance to charitable organizations as Board members. Russell's unique Matching Gifts program encourages associates worldwide to give of their time and talent to serve community needs and matches contributions of dollars and time in many locations in which we operate. In the U.S., Russell matches associates' personal gifts to tax-exempt organizations up to $2,500 per person each year. Volunteer hours are also matched at the rate of $200 for 25 hours, to a maximum of 50 hours or $400.
- Annual Kids' Day: Associates bring their children to work with them for fun activities that teach children about Russell and its business. The kids enjoy a full morning of activities, ending with a fun lunch on campus with their parents.
- Esprit de corps events, including picnics, annual parties, ArtWalks, wine tastings, parties surrounding sporting events, and more! Spouses, partners and families are often invited.
- Bereavement leave: Up to five days paid bereavement are granted in the event of the death of an immediate family member, including spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, grandparent, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, or significant other.
