A researcher and prolific writer well-known within the financial services industry for his work to create the T standard in 2003, Bob Collie is director of Investment Strategy for the Americas. The T standard is a standardized method for the calculation of portfolio performance during a transition.

As well as the Russell Retirement Report 2008 and the Russell Pension Report 2007, Bob has authored or co-authored wide-ranging publications that include: "Resist the Amygdala!" (an overview of the application of behavioral finance to institutional investment), "The New Trustee's Guide to: Trading Costs," "It's Time for More Choice in FX," and "Socially Responsible Investment: Does Your SRI Policy Pass Five Tests?"

He has also written on subjects as diverse as transition management, tactical asset allocation, fund governance, fiduciary responsibility, implementation of investment policy, private equity, target date funds, rebalancing, the Myners Review, hedge funds and the impact of style biases.

Bob holds a First Class degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford. He joined Russell as a consultant in 1994. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds the Certificate in Derivatives of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
