Brian Tipple Managing Director, U.S. Equity B.A., Economics, Pacific Lutheran University Registered Representative As managing director, U.S. Equity, Brian Tipple oversees both the $50 billion funds business and manager research. He is accountable for the performance of the funds, the quality of the investment content, and the recommendation and selection of investment managers. Brian advises Russell clients on equity strategy and manager selection issues. Brian initially joined Russell in 1986, in time taking on many different roles within the organization. In 2000, he left Russell to join a Seattle-based investment management firm where he eventually was named chairman and chief executive officer. In 2004, Brian rejoined Russell in his current role. Earlier in his career, Brian was a founding partner and senior equity manager with a San Francisco-area institutional money management firm, as well as a senior portfolio manager for a Pacific Northwest-area regional bank. Brian holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Pacific Lutheran University and is registered as an Investment Company Product Representative with FINRA.
