Carol Broad Director, Real Estate Investment Research B.S., Biochemistry, University of California at Los Angeles M.B.A., Finance and Marketing, University of California at Los Angeles Based in San Diego, Carol Broad oversees all of Russell's real estate-related research activities. With 21 years of financial and real estate experience, Carol has her finger on the pulse of what's happening in real estate. Under her direction, Russell's real estate research team focuses on public and private real estate property and capital markets. They identify and analyze emerging real estate investment strategies and review specific investment products and implementation alternatives. Carol has a strong background in investment and performance analysis. Prior to joining Russell in 1999, she was a managing director with Institutional Property Consultants, Inc. (IPC). At IPC, she was responsible for overseeing the firm's investment research activities, in addition to client responsibilities. Previously, Carol was vice president of PSI Institutional Realty, a division of Public Storage, Inc., where she managed the portfolios of a series of institutional real estate funds. She also served five years with Arco as a financial advisor. Carol is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and serves on the editorial advisory board of The Institutional Real Estate Letter and European Real Estate Quarterly. Carol holds two degrees from UCLA - a bachelor of science in biochemistry, and an MBA in finance and marketing.
