Jeff T. Hussey Director, U.S. Fixed Income B.S., Economics and Business, University of Puget Sound M.S., Finance, Seattle University CFA Charterholder, CFA Institute As head of Russell Investments' U.S. fixed income business since 2003, Jeff Hussey oversees the performance of Russell's U.S. fixed income funds and its manager research recommendations. He also has portfolio management responsibility for U.S. core and core-plus funds managed within Russell. Additional responsibilities include advising prospective and existing clients on fixed income strategy and overseeing analytical efforts in the monitoring of Russell's fixed income funds. Previously, Jeff was a portfolio manager with lead responsibilities for over $12 billion in Russell's U.S. fixed income mandates, including core, core-plus, short, municipal, and stable-value mandates. In this capacity, Jeff was responsible for the selection of managers and strategies across a variety of commingled and separate accounts. From 1994 to 1996, Jeff was a research analyst in Russell's investment policy and research area, where he specialized in fixed income money management firms. He became a senior research analyst in 1996, where he was responsible for evaluating and ranking various manager strategies including core, core plus, private placement, high-yield and emerging market debt. Jeff joined Russell in 1991 and worked in various areas, including the analytical services and operations divisions. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and business from the University of Puget Sound, and a master's degree in finance from Seattle University. He is a CFA Charterholder.
