As a portfolio manager with broad experience, Mike Ruff offers an overall look at portfolio management, design and development, as well as sales and client service. He has managed multi-manager fixed income portfolios and separate accounts since 2002, within Russell's global investment management business.
Prior to this, Mike was a research analyst in Russell's investment policy and research area, specializing in fixed income money management firms. He also advised Russell clients on fixed income strategy formulation and manager structure.
Mike joined Russell in 1996 and has held positions as a performance analyst and senior technical analyst, responsible for foreign currency and European derivatives trading.
Prior to joining Russell, Mike served as an actuarial/statistical analyst for Pierce County Medical Bureau, Inc. in Tacoma, and as a group benefit analyst for The Segal Company in Chicago.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois-Chicago and an MBA in finance from Pacific Lutheran University. He is a CFA Charterholder and is registered as a General Securities Representative with FINRA.
