Randy Lert
Chief Portfolio Strategist

As one of Russell's principal spokespersons, Randy Lert has been interviewed on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and PBS. A nationally respected economist, he is regularly quoted in national newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and USA Today, and in professional trade publications that cover the investment services business.
As chief portfolio strategist, Randy is instrumental in the formation and implementation of investment policy and process at Russell Investments. In addition to his investment role, he is a member of several internal committees overseeing critical initiatives for the company as a whole.
From 1996-2003, Randy was chief investment officer with responsibilities for all investment activities within Russell Investment Group. Randy first came to work for Russell in 1985 as vice president with Frank Russell Investment Management Company. In 1989, he served as director of investments for both Frank Russell Investment Management Company and Frank Russell Trust Company.
Prior to joining Russell, Randy worked for Multisoft Corp. as vice president, applications, and was with Wells Fargo Investment Advisors as a marketing officer, assistant vice president, pension consultant, and vice president and manager of new product development.
Randy holds a bachelor of arts in history from the University of California at Riverside, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
