This fund was created as a diversified equity portfolio that provides broad exposure to stocks around the world (North America, Europe, Asia and Emerging Markets) but also seeks to emphasize the best relative opportunities across all geographies and sectors. The fund invests primarily in mid and large capitalization companies, but it may also invest in small-cap companies. Ultimately, stock selection is based upon the relative attractiveness of the investment opportunity and not on the capitalization, sector, or regional location of a specific company.
Managers in the fund represent a blend of investment strategies that emphasize value or growth criteria and are combined in such a way as to capture the benefits of these approaches while potentially improving the consistency of the fund's performance. For example, one manager may select stocks it believes are trading at a discount to intrinsic value, while another manager may choose stocks of companies that are deemed to be well managed, have attractive long-term growth prospects and are under appreciated by the market.
While the fund offers broad exposure to global equity markets, it is not designed to be a core holding in a portfolio due to its higher concentration
and risk relative to the Russell U.S. Core Equity Fund and the Russell International Developed Markets Fund.

Managing money differently The Russell approach has been trusted for decades by many of the world's largest investors; our mutual funds allow you to employ that same approach. We identify investment managers we believe have exceptional capabilities, blend them to help manage risk through diversification, and constantly monitor them. Regardless of market conditions, Russell's investment approach remains constant.
Money managers listed are current as of 09/30/2009. Subject to the fund's board approval, Russell has the right to engage or terminate a money manager at any time and without a shareholder vote, based on an exemptive order from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Global equity involves risk associated with investments primarily in equity securities of companies located around the world, including the United States. International securities can involve risks relating to political and economic instability or regulatory conditions. Investments in emerging or developing markets involve exposure to economic structures that are generally less diverse and mature, and to political systems which have less stability than those of more developed countries.
Fund objectives, risks, charges and expenses should be carefully considered before investing. On September 2, 2008, the name of the Global Equity Fund changed to the Russell Global Equity Fund.
