Russell Investments' Emerging Markets Fund receives 2010 Lipper Fund Award
Best of 174 funds for 5-year period based on consistent risk-adjusted returns

Tacoma, WA — March 31, 2010 — The performance of Russell Investments' Emerging Markets Fund, in particular its risk-adjusted returns, has been recognized with a 2010 Lipper Fund Award. Outranking 173 other emerging market funds in the U.S. from Dec. 31, 2004 through Dec. 31, 2009, the Russell Emerging Markets Fund, [S Class], was named 'Best Fund Over the Past Five Years, Emerging Markets Funds.'

"We are honored the Lipper Fund Awards have recognized the Russell Emerging Markets Fund," said Sandra Cavanaugh, managing director, Private Client Services, Russell's business serving financial intermediaries in North America. "Advisors and their clients are looking for investment opportunities and ideas outside the U.S, and this fund can be used either in an existing core portfolio, complementing traditional allocations to U.S. and international equities, or as a standalone investment opportunity with modestly higher risk in the pursuit of excess returns."

The Russell Emerging Markets Fund offers strong risk management and access to six institutional-quality emerging markets managers from around the world. These managers combine long-term experience and fresh perspective to offer a broadly diverse approach to risk, with some emphasizing country and/or sector research and others utilizing a more bottom-up approach to stock selection.
