Andrew Pease

Andrew Pease is an investment strategist for Russell Investment Group. In his role, Andrew conducts research on and acts as an external voice on the economy, capital markets, portfolio strategies as well as investor behavior. Andrew also works with institutional clients and retail partners to communicate Russell's investment process and portfolio management. Andrew is based in Sydney and joined Russell in 2006.

Andrew has extensive financial industry experience as an economist, investment strategist, fund manager and central banker. Prior to coming to Russell, Andrew worked for the funds management division of Macquarie Bank as a product specialist for the cash, fixed interest and diversified funds. He was involved with the strategic development of new investment products and was responsible for communicating new innovations in investment strategies to institutional investors and retail advisor networks.

Previously, Andrew was the chief economist for JPMorgan in Australia; one of the largest investment banks in Australia with a significant presence in equity broking, equity and debt issuance, futures broking, commodity hedging, foreign exchange sales and private client wealth management. Andrew was consistently voted in the top-three economists by local institutional fund managers.

Prior to this, Andrew was the Australian head of research at Nomura Securities, Japan's largest investment bank. He directed a team of four analysts covering the outlook for the economy, currencies, fixed interest, commodities and the equity market. Andrew began his career at the Reserve Bank of Australia, where he gained significant experience in monetary policy formulation, working as an economist across the economic research and economic analysis departments.
