What is super?
Superannuation (super) is basically a long-term savings program introduced by the Government primarily to provide income to individuals in retirement.
In Australia, superannuation investments receive special tax concessions that are not available to other types of investments. The Government has recently introduced "Choice of Fund" which means you now have more options about your super.
Your super is likely to be one of your biggest assets in retirement so the choices you make today could have a significant impact on the lifestyle you’ll have when you retire.
