Lost Super

Russell's tracking it down for you

Don't break the bank It’s easy to lose track of a super account. Move house and forget to tell your super fund your new address. Change jobs, join your new employer’s fund, and forget about the last one.

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) says around half of all Australian workers have lost some super. There’s a whopping $8.2 billion in 5.4 million unclaimed super accounts.

Could some of it be yours?

If so, Russell is planning to reunite you with any lost super you may have as part of a new complimentary service. We’ll do all the work tracking it down for you.

To do this, we will need to provide the ATO with your Tax File Number (TFN), specifically for the purpose of searching its Superannuation Guarantee (SG), Superannuation Holding Accounts Reserve (SHAR) and Lost Member Register records[*]. We may also need to provide the ATO with some other personal details, where relevant. Search results will come back to us at Russell and we’ll let you know immediately if we uncover anything.

You don’t have to do anything to take advantage of this complimentary service. The search will happen automatically unless, of course, you don’t want us to try and track down your lost super, and tell us before 31 August 2006 that you don’t wish to participate. If that’s the case, just call us on 1800 555 667. Otherwise, we’ll get back to you as soon as we find anything.
