"Mostly brick" and "Not yet a bonfire"

July 2010
"Mostly brick" is a hypothetical pension fund case study with accompanying discussion questions. It tells the story of the risk management and governance challenges facing a new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) as he takes the reins of the Colossal Pension Fund following Colossal's horrendous performance in 2008. "Not yet a bonfire" picks up the story two years later, and recounts some of the changes the CIO instituted during that period to address these challenges.
These articles round out a three-part series on importance of robust risk management process to ensure sound governance of pension plans.
