Alister van der Maas Senior Manager Investment Consulting, Russell Investment Group   B.MS. (Honours), International Management and Japanese, The University of Waikato, 1993 Investment Management Certificate, 1999 CFA Charterholder, CFA Institute, 2001 As a Senior Manager in the consulting practice in New Zealand, Alister is responsible for managing the consulting practice as well as for providing advice to a range of institutional investors. These investors include community trusts, corporate super schemes and Crown financial institutions. Alister has returned to New Zealand from the United Kingdom where he worked for companies including Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Schroder Investment Management. He has worked closely with pension funds in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Australia, and has considerable experience in transition management. At Deutsche Bank Alister was the European Head of Transition Management. Prior to that Alister worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where he was a fund manager on the transition management team. Alister was responsible for Dealing, Strategy and Risk management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a BMS (Hons) in International Business Management, Marketing and Japanese from Waikato University.
