 Mark Blair is Managing Director of Russell Investments in New Zealand. Based in Sydney, Mark is responsible for strategic direction, products, services and operations of Russell's business across institutional and retail clients in New Zealand. In this capacity Mark leads a team which delivers asset consulting advice, implementation services and funds management to some of New Zealand's largest institutional investors.
In addition to his role as Managing Director, Mark is also responsible for strategic business initiatives in the Australasian region. Mark has been the driving force behind the development and growth of Russell's Super Solution Master Trust and has been instrumental in developing key relationships in Australia.
Prior to joining Russell, Mark worked with Towers Perrin in Australia providing strategic advice to some of the largest super funds, includng News Ltd, OneSteel and Johnson & Johnson. Previously, he spent 13 years at Watson Wyatt in both Australia and the UK providing actuarial advice to large institutional clients.
Mark, originally from the UK, is football mad - being soccer to antipodeans and has been a West Ham supporter since the day he could kick a ball. A family man, Mark enjoys spending time with his 3 boys , actively coaching and cricket, and is only disappointed when his boys support Australia in sport.
