"Invested with Russell" program to build on $54,000 regular season donation

Russell Investments Center lights up number 12

SAM supports Seahawks projecting the number 12 on the iconic "Hammering Man"

SEATTLE, January 8, 2014 — In honor of the Seattle Seahawks playoff berth, Seattle-headquartered asset management firm Russell Investments is increasing its donation from $2,000 to $3,000 for every postseason touchdown that Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson scores as part of its charitable giving program, "Invested with Russell".

"The impact of this partnership with Russell Investments is tremendous on the youth in our community and I'm extremely excited about what we've raised during the regular season," said Seahawks QB Russell Wilson. "We're going to do our best to take advantage of the generous increased donation from Russell Investments throughout the playoffs."

In celebration of Seahawks fans, the Russell Investments Center, located at 1301 Second Avenue and managed by CommonWealth Partners, will coordinate with building tenants to strategically close window blinds to light the number 12 on the west-facing side of the 42-story building beginning tonight, Wednesday, January 8 and Friday, January 10.

In addition, on January 10, the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) which is adjacent to the Russell Investments Center, will project the number 12 on the iconic Hammering Man.

During the 2013 NFL regular season, Russell Investments donated $54,000 to Wilson's charitable foundation which supports youth activities for communities in need. The names of the specific charities to benefit from the partnership will be announced at a later date.

Russell Investments and its associates support hundreds of charitable organizations around the world with their time, talent and donations. These efforts carry on a more than 75-year tradition of helping improve the quality of life for people in the communities where Russell associates live and work.
