Russell in the Emerging World

In 1990, Russell Chairman Emeritus, George F. Russell Jr. founded Russell 20-20, an independent, non-profit group of major pension funds and money managers. The purpose of the group is to assess the investment climate in a search for prudent investment opportunities in emerging markets around the world. Members make independent investment decisions and, together, represent about US$12 trillion in investment capital. Russell 20-20 delegations have traveled to nearly 20 countries.

Russell EMPulse reports document investors' perceptions of the investment climate in emerging market nations. These reports facilitate discussion with leading government and private sector members and play a critical part in guiding panel discussions during Russell 20-20 delegation visits.

While not humanitarian in nature, Russell 20-20 and Russell EMPulse play an important role in educating emerging economies in need of investment capital. These programs contribute to enriched opportunities and standard of living.
